Last Call: Join the Re-Founding Campaign

Brothers in Chi Psi:

2022 marks a touchstone year in the history of Alpha Epsilon of Chi Psi. 177 years after our founding, and following nearly six years of unprecedented dormancy, our storied Alpha will return home to 620 South State Street and reclaim its rightful place as the oldest and longest continually active fraternity at the University of Michigan. The Re-Founding Capital Campaign Committee would like to take this opportunity to extend our sincere thanks to all the Epsilon alumni who have lent their support in past years. In particular, we’d like to thank all those Brothers who helped make this Re-Founding possible by giving to the campaign.

Because of your participation in this historic effort, and the remarkable work of the 20 undergraduate members who we plan to initiate this fall, we will be able to ensure that our reconstituted Alpha:

• Honors our traditions through a Lodge operating model that emphasizes a four-year live-in experience, a small, close-knit brotherhood, and active engagement with our alumni in the daily life of the fraternity.
• Secures our future with the addition of modern Lodge amenities and scholarship funding for the Endowment to aid our recruitment efforts of the best young men UofM has to offer.

We invite you to celebrate the official return of the Alpha and the success of our Re-Founding Campaign by joining alumni from across the nation as we gather at the Lodge on October 14-15, 2022. The formal banquet will be held on Friday night and traditional Football Saturday festivities are planned at the Lodge the following day. Additionally, during our weekend of celebration, we plan to install a permanent plaque at the Lodge to honor those who have contributed a gift of $1,000 or more to the campaign.

We wanted to take this opportunity to invite those of you who have yet to give to get their names on the board. We would love to have you be a part of this once-in-a-generation campaign.

The important renovations and upgrades your generosity is making possible will begin this Summer. While work on the Lodge will pause when the semester begins, continued construction will take place during school breaks with an overall planned completion date of Fall 2023. We will provide updates as this work progresses including photos of construction progress.
